Balfour preferred bidder for Midland Metro extension
Balfour Beatty has been named preferred bidder to build Centro’s 1.3km Midland Metro extension, seeing off competition from Morgan Sindall and Thomas Vale Construction. The project will take the light rail system from Snow Hill station to New Street station in the heart of the city centre, carrying an estimated 3.5 million passengers/year.
