Bexhill-Hastings road works goes ahead prior to final funding award
East Sussex County Council is to press ahead and carry out preparatory work for the Bexhill to Hastings Link Road prior to receiving final funding approval.
The council acknowledged that it was running the risk of losing the £2.5m should the compulsory purchase orders or final funding bid be refused or successfully challenged, but this was “a risk we feel we need to take”.
