Parking levy ‘to raise £8m in year one’
Nottingham’s workplace parking levy is expected to raise just over £8m this year, according to the city council. It says employers have licensed 45,500 spaces at more than 3,000 parking premises around the city. Of these, about 28,000 will be liable for a charge. Employers with ten or fewer spaces are exempt from the charge but must have a licence for their spaces. Charging began on 1 April, with a £288 levy on liable spaces.
