UK petrol prices ‘not the highest in EU’
Twelve EU member states have petrol prices higher than the UK’s average of £1.41 a litre, according to figures compiled by the RAC Foundation. Denmark had the highest price (£1.59) and prices in the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, France, Finland, and Germany were all above the UK. The cheapest petrol is in Romania – £1.12 a litre. The UK has the second highest diesel prices, at £1.48 per litre, only surpassed by Italy...
