US backs fuel cell buses with $13m on projects
US transportation secretary Ray LaHood has announced $13.1m in federal funding for 11 innovative research and demonstration projects under the Federal Transit Administration’s National Fuel Cell Bus program. The program advances hydrogen fuel cell power for transit buses, and reflects the Obama Administration’s commitment to address energy challenges, reduce dependence on foreign oil, and promote cleaner air.
