Cornwall Airport needs more subsidy
Cornwall Council may have to increase its subsidy to Newquay Airport next year because of falling passenger numbers. The council-owned airport handled almost 300,000 passengers in 2010/11 but the final figures for 2011/12 are expected to be just 195,000 and a further drop to 178,000 is forecast in 2012/13.
