A quarter of UK bus industry in overseas ownership
A new analysis of the structure and ownership of UK bus companies by consultancy TAS Partnership has shown that almost a quarter of the bus industry (24.4%) is owned by overseas operators.
The information, based on an analysis of over 120 bus companies’ accounts, shows that the acquisition of Arriva by Deutsche Bahn in summer 2010 gave the German state-owned company a 15.2% market share.
