Rebranding spells end of road for CSS

The County Surveyors’ Society this week brought to an end 125 years of history by announcing that it is being renamed the Association of Directors of Environment, Transport and Planning (ADEPT).

“We recognise the sadness of losing a name that has long-standing historical significance,” said president Alison Quant. “However, ADEPT reflects the current local government structure, and its members’ core service areas.”
