Government departments failing on ‘green’ travel

The Government must do more to promote workplace travel plans across departments according to its own green advisory body.

The Sustainable Development Commission says all Government departments and agencies should implement workplace travel plans to minimise the impact of employee commuter travel.

The recommendation comes in response to a review of Government travel policies undertaken for the SDC and Office of Government Commerce by consultant JMP.
