Birmingham gears up for UK’s first pay-by-the-minute car club
Details emerged this week of how the UK’s first ‘spontaneous’ urban car club is to operate.
German car manufacturer Daimler will launch its car2go urban mobility scheme in Birmingham in the “coming months” after winning a tender from the city council. Car2go already operates in 14 cities in Europe, Canada and the US.
The Birmingham scheme will feature up to 250 of Daimler’s Smart Fortwo cars available for hire without needing a reservation....
