Essex devolves transport cash
Local councillors will decide how to spend £8m of the transport budget in Essex this year.
Decisions will be taken by local highways panels, chaired by county councillors and including district/borough and parish councillors. The biggest allocations will be worth £1m each for Basildon, Chelmsford and Colchester and £0.8m for Braintree.
