Greening reviews Bath lorry ban
Transport Secretary Justine Greening may block Bath and North East Somerset Council’s plan for a lorry ban on the A36 through Bath.
BANES had been planning to implement an experimental 18-tonne weight limit on the Cleveland bridge this month, preventing heavy goods vehicles from using the A36, part of the Primary Route Network (PRN).
But the Highways Agency, Wiltshire and Somerset councils have written to Greening, asking her to intervene.
