There’s no news in a minister cycling through a red light

Who really cares what The Daily Mail thinks about a minister riding his pushbike through some red lights (Media Monitor LTT 08 Jun)? (Or, come to that, what they think about anything else – far too much attention is paid to the ill-considered opinions of unqualified tabloid hacks venting personal beefs).
I’m not going to condone red light running by any road user. But have the busybodies at The Mail ever followed a car-driving minister to check their rigorous compliance with traffic...
