Go-ahead for Nottingham-M1 link
The Dualing of a major road linking the M1 and Nottingham’s ring road will start early next year, roads minister Mike Penning has announced.
Penning last week gave the go ahead for dualling of the A453 trunk road between junction 24 of the M1 and the A52. The seven-mile (11km) £141m-£194m project will improve access from Nottingham to East Midlands Airport, as well as East Midlands Parkway rail station.
