Welsh reduce reimbursement
The Welsh Government has cut the concessionary fares reimbursement rate to bus operators for the final quarter of 2011/12 in order to stay within the scheme’s budget. The budget for the scheme in 2011/12 is £69m and the Welsh Government normally pays a reimbursement rate of 73.59% under the terms of a three-year agreement with bus operators and local authorities.
