Tees Valley Airport sold
The immediate future of loss-making Durham Tees Valley Airport appears safeguarded with news that Peel Airports Ltd has sold its majority shareholding to Peel Investments Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Peel Group. Peel Airports Ltd is 65% owned by Vantage Airport Group (formerly Vancouver Airport Services) and 35% by the Peel Group. Political leaders want reassurance that Peel is committed to the airport in the long-term. Six local councils own 25% of the airport’s shares.
