Penning defers Dartford toll rises
Plans to increase the tolls on the Dartford crossings twice within the space of six months have been dropped by the Government. Tolls were to have increased in November and next April but roads minister Mike Penning said the proposals were being reconsidered in the light of opposition raised during the public consultation.
