Transport projects offered Regional Growth Fund cash

Twenty-one transport projects in England stand a chance of sharing some of the £1.4bn from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
Just four transport projects were offered funding in the first round of the fund this spring, prompting questions about whether the DfT would recoup the £265m it contributed.
But, last week, 17 further transport projects, or projects with a transport element, were given conditional offers of funding in the fund’s second phase.
