Plug pulled on joint venture for Warwicks rail station

Warwickshire county Council has announced the ending of a public-private partnership to deliver a new rail station.
The county had been working with contractor John Laing on plans to build a new station at Kenilworth (LTT 17 Sep 10).
Plans to deliver the project via a major scheme submission were thwarted by last year’s spending review. Meanwhile, the county heard last month that a bid to the Regional Growth Fund had also been unsuccessful. This prompted the two parties to review...
