Dorset to switch-off streetlights
Dorset County Council is amending its streetlighting policy to allow part-night lighting in suburban residential areas. ‘Intelligent’ photocells will be fitted to some lights so that they switch-off between approximately midnight and 5.30am. A trial of part-night lighting was launched last March.
