Design surgeries aim to raise street standards

London Boroughs and Transport for London are being encouraged to put proposed street schemes through a ‘design surgery’ where experts offer advice to the design teams.

The surgeries are being run by Urban Design London, a training and networking organisation that is supported by bodies including TfL, London Councils and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE).
