Cheadle Hulme station, Stockport
Network Rail is inviting tenders for improving access at Cheadle Hulme station. A footbridge and three lifts will be built to provide step-free access between the concourse, the platforms and the footbridge. The work will be funded by the DfT as part of its Access for All programme. Work could start this autumn and could be completed by next summer.
