Glasgow studies TIF model to deliver bus station and car parking
Scotland could be about to lead the way on a new funding mechanism for urban transport improvements.
The Scottish Government is encouraging Glasgow City Council to see if Tax Increment Financing (TIF) could fund a new bus station and car parking associated with a major city centre retail development. The City of Edinburgh Council is also studying if TIF could kickstart a major redevelopment on the city’s waterfront.
