Gtr Manchester authorities to get bigger say on HA roads and rail

New details have emerged of the strengthened transport powers that political leaders in Greater Manchester are set to receive under the Government’s city region pilot programme.

 A draft ministerial agreement sets out a range of short-term initiatives that, in particular, will give the authorities more say over rail and the Highways Agency road network.
