Houses could face demolition as Brent aims to tackle pollution
The London Borough of Brent may demolish houses along the North Circular Road to reduce residents’ exposure to air pollution and noise.
The idea is part of a much wider regeneration plan to enhance the image of the six-lane road that passes through the borough from Hanger Lane to Staples Corner, carrying 100,000 vehicles a day. The entire corridor is an Air Quality Management Area, with high levels of particulates and nitrogen oxide concentrations. Noise levels are also high....
