Hoon urged to reject parking levy plans
The AA and the British Chambers of Commerce are urging transport secretary Geoff Hoon to reject Nottingham City Council’s proposal to introduce a workplace parking levy in the city.
The two organisations teamed up last week to voice their hostility to Nottingham’s proposals that would see a levy on employee parking spaces, initially set at £185. Employers with fewer than ten parking spaces would be exempt.
